Matt Groening believed Bart would be the star. That’s why the majority of the first season focused around Bart with episodes like Krusty Gets Busted and Bart the General. This started Bart Mania. It brought a sling of Bart stuff like Do the Bartman and Butterfinger commercials. This also brought a sling of Bart merchandise including t-shirts. Bart was always in the same pose with the same background. He’s popping out of the shirt. The only difference was that they all were different in what the theme was. A notable one was Black Bart and it sold well despite the racism. There were a few other Bart shirt styles. There was literally a shirt about anything as I prove below.

Doug Young and Mort Walker
We lost two legends last weekend. Doug Young was one of the last voice actors from the golden days of Hanna Barbera and Mort Walker was the creator of Beetle Bailey. Doug Young was on The Stu's Show. Read Mark Evanier's blog on both and read Yowp for info on Doug Young.

Toon Patches Part 11---Tom and Jerry part 2
More Tom and Jerry Patches most just feature Jerry. The Last one is mine.
This one is a pocket patch I own. Made by Dyno. Rip-off unlicensed use of a character. Dyno clearly got sued by somebody because you can't find photos of these online. No copyright or mentioning it's Tom. There is a Top Cat one that I will show later.
