TNT cable in its early years ran plenty of old shorts between movies, including the "Passing Parade" series, and they ran this particular episode one night. At a comics convention in the late '90s, I met Fred Lasswell and told him of seeing his shoeless cameo in "People on Paper." He said he remembered it well, and that of all the cartoonists featured therein, he was the only one left. (Of course, he has passed since then.)
ReplyDeleteJohn Nesbitt revived the "Passing Parade" on TV in the "Telephone Time" series (it was sponsored by AT&T).
Airing on Saturday 5/13/23 on TCM (right after a showing of Little Rural Riding Hood).
