Mr. Magoo promotion

In this Life Magazine issue, in small text, there is a promotion to Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol. I have no idea why. If you do comment below.

    The note is at the bottom of a Timex print ad and notes that Timex is sponsoring the broadcast.
