Mr. Jinks and Boo Boo? Sure Why Not!

Now these two characters were paired together in this record and this coloring book but their connection pretty much stops at the cover. Why they were paired in one title I don't know, neat though! Hanna-Barbera did other odd parings too such as comics like Huckleberry Hound and Yakky Doodle which I suppose was due to Yakky being added to the Huck syndication package when it started reruning on local stations. You're seeing missing links because Blogger is willing to let me add them. Google is making this service more and more difficult each time I post it seems
The Record can be bought for as low as ten dollars here I gotta give credit and a plug here...There is a great website about early coloring books called Retroreprints losts of great photos of coloring books there. I'm using their photo here. Unlike the record, I don't own this one.

Soaky Toy Commercials

Superman and Tennessee Tuxedo! Musky the Muskrat and Dick Tracy! These rule! These Soaky commercials are incredible. According to Darrel Van Citters there was also a Mr. Magoo with the Universal Monsters.
I love these Soaky commericals. I have several Soaky toys in my own collection (Yogi Bear, Felix the Cat, Porky Pig, and Top Cat). Those of you in (or near) the Birmingham Alabama area should visit my friend Tim Hollis's private toy museum in his home. It's absolutely fantastic. As a Birmingham resident, I have visited probably more time than anyone else (and I'll continue to go!) Here's the Creature from the Black Lagoon and the Mummy
Paul and Ringo!! This one is all live-action with teenagers instead of kids
Goofy and Pluto
Dick Tracy and Musky the Muskrat!
Superman and Tennesse Tuxedo. I don't think it's Don Adams doing Tennessee Tuxedo here.
Alvin and the Chipmunks
Porky Pig and Donald Duck
Popeye and Bluto
