Bob Givens: Rare Interview

Not many men live till 99. But Bob Givens did. As we all know, animation legend Bob Givens passed away yesterday. He was a true legend. He seemed to work at just about every major studio. I’ll bet that Bob went to a 100 times more studio reunions than Chuck Jones or Ward Kimball. He had so many credits and still served in the army. He worked at Disney on The Old Mill, Snow White, and many others. He then worked at Warner Bros. He modeled Bugs Bunny in the short, A Wild Hare. He also worked with Mckimson in his unit, Chuck Jones’ unit, and Tex Avery’s. If that’s not a major role in Warner Bros history than I don’t know what is. He also worked on Mr. Magoo at UPA, at Hanna Barbera on shows such as The Flintstones, and tons of others that I’m forgetting. He was part of some of animation’s greatest masterpieces. What this is below is an archived interview filmed by Internet Archivist Jason Scott.
