Popeye's 90th---Jack Mercer on To Tell the Truth
Jack Mercer was the voice of Popeye after Red Pepper Sam was fired. Jack Mercer had been imitating the characters in the story department and after Billy Costello was fired, he took over the role. On this classic episode of To Tell The Truth, the panelists have to guess which of the gentlemen is the voice of Popeye. Enjoy!
I'd love to have heard the other two try to do the voice. Peggy Cass probably could have done a good Olive Oyl.
